Dog Point Pinot Noir Marlborough New Zealand Bottle 2007
Berry Bros & Rudd review: This Pinot Noir, in common with many top-class Kiwi examples of this capricious
grape variety, exhibits a gorgeous bouquet of summer fruits, cherries,
raspberries and plums. On the palate there is dense fruit, well-integrated oak,
a velvety texture, all complemented by vibrant acidity which imbues the wine
with freshness and balance. Serve slightly cool with steak or, such is its
crispness, with a slightly richer meat such as duck.
Dog Point Vineyard combines the considerable wine-growing experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland and James and Wendy Healy. Our philosophy is total involvement by the partners from the vineyard through the winemaking process to marketing regionally distinctive and vineyard expressive wines.
