Winemakers Notes
"The entry level 2006 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee delivers an expressivenose of rose petal, red cherry and raspberry that leaps from the glass. This leads to a velvety-textured, medium-bodied Pinot with ample sweetfruit, good depth, and a fruit-filled finish. It lacks only complexity.Drink this pleasurable wine over the next 4-5 years. Domaine Serene has turned out its most successful set of Pinot Noirs in several vintages."90 pointsJay Miller, Wine Advocate # 179, Oct 2008

Reviews for 2006 Vintage
smooth, sweet, light berry, no bite
Took about 30-45 minutes to open up but really got going when it did. Cherry, cranberry and cinnamon. Notes of cola and earth complete the savory tastes. While I enjoyed this Pinot, for $32 I would recommend others ahead of it.
One of my favorite Pinot Noirs!
First had this in Vegas and payed way tooo much for it. But loved it!
Balanced nose featuring chocolate covered raspberries with a whisper of honeysuckle blossom. Light body, with medium acidity and light tannins. The medium-long finish seems to warm with cedar. Very pleasant!
Very approachable with big fruit both on the nose and in the mouth. A cherry bomb. Much more fruit oriented that its Burgundian cousins - not as much earth and mineral. Perhaps a bit young right now but not at all disappointing. I give it high marks for being such a good wine at a price much more reasonable that a comparable burgundy.

According to the Wine Spectator: Supple, ripe and generous with its plum, blueberry and creme brulee flavors, nicely draped with refined tannins, which persist on the focused finish. Drink now through 2014.
