Do Ferreiro Mendez Albari¤o Cepas Vellas R¡as Baixas 2007
Made from organically grown grapes, this small batch Albariño from Spain's cool northwestern coast is an absolute knockout, providing a briny rush of citrus and tropical fruit, flinty seashell notes, vivid acidity, and a rich, indulgent mouthfeel. Albariño doesn't get much better than this!

This 5 hectare estate is one of the best in Rías Baixes. Winemaker Gerardo Mendez's vines are 50 years old at least, with one parcel of over 200 year old vines. The depth and minerality of this crisp, citric, and slightly petrol-y Albariño is stunning and truly places it a cut above the rest.
