The world’s most esteemed dessert wine, Tokaji Aszu has satisfied the sweet toothes of Tsars and Emperors alike. Disznoko is an historic estate, declared first class in the 1772 classification. In 1992 it was purchased by a French winery group that owns several Classified Bordeaux Chateaux. It’s now a state of the art wine making facility with prime vineyards. Today the winemaking has been modernized but the tradition remain as this 6 Puttonyos wine is one step away from Essencia; pure nectar. Extraordinary complexity and a tantalizing balance of sweetness and acidity are the hallmarks of this Eastern European treasure. This 2000 was scored 95 points by the Wine Spectator who said “Intensely sweet, yet lush and mouthfilling, this is like nectar. Honey, caramel, candied lemon peel and coconut flavors in a seamless presentation. The acidity and even a touch of tannin shows on the long finish. Best from 2005 through 2025.” Very Limited!!
