Distefano Merlot Blend Columbia Valley Domenica 2005
Proprietary Bordeaux style blend with focus on Merlot
585 cases produced
From its inception, Domenica has represented old world winemaking. No pomp and circumstance, just real wine for real people to enjoy anywhere at any time. Much like her namesake, Domenica Paganelli; the 2005 Domenica is bold yet insightful, revealing many layers of complexity. Deep aromas of blueberry and Bing cherry explode with fragments of chocolate and violates. Strawberries mingle with rich currents and bolder tones of pepper and mulled spice. Earthy tobacco and cedar box aromas compliment more delicate notes of brown sugar and vanilla. The palate is full bodies with soft, chewy tannins and good acidity. Finish lingers with raspberries and toasted hazelnuts.
The DiStefano Winery is a part of a group of wineries located in the Woodinville valley producing high quality white and red wines made from classic varietals grown in Washington State.
