Add your reviewOld vines (the label doesn’t say how old, but they’re from the quality growers at O. Fournier and Vistalba) meet modern touches with a rubber stopper and brown-green glass protecting this malbec, which is bottled by its distributor in the United States. It’s got an unusual nose of fresh-cut wood, followed by a more traditional red currant flavor with sweet raspberries and a noticeable but refined tannic edge. Black pepper and some nice oak in the nose. A little simplistic but well balanced. The mouth is dry and chalky, with some black fruits in the middle, and a hot finish.
I was very happy with this purchase. This is a simple Malbec from the local grocery store that I let rest for a year and the results were definitely worth it.
Sweet cherries and burnt marshmallow on the nose. Smooth body with hints of pomegranate and dark fruits. A bit of a bite on the finish.
Was what I look for in a Malbec. Rich, bold but balanced flavors. Nose some cherry and burnt marshmallow and did not indicate how flavorful the wine. A hint of black pepper was a perfect finish. We got during happy hour at a Joseph Beth Booksellers in Lexington because Malbec bottle the one our party compromised on. Was an excellent choice with the cafe/bistro type foods everyone ordered from salads, a Mediterranean tomato based soup with some heat and even the chocolate desserts. UPC 081434100108.
