Reviews
I pared this up with shrimp and asparagus. The shrimp had a mild garlic sauce while the asparagus was drizzled with EVO, sesame seeds and pepper. The wine balanced well and neither over powered one another. Plum, cranberries and cherries were most obvious on the nose and I did pick up subtle hints of oak. The wine is slightly dry with a fruity pallet. For me, cranberries were the most prevalent taste. I enjoyed this wine but I feel the $24.00 price tag was a bit high. I would place it in the $12.00 to $15.00 range. But, I’m fairly new at this so what do I know.
classic purple gamay saturated colors- nose that is all about rocks and strawberries- dense and a bit tight on the palate- very nice, better in 4-5 years.
