Terrific red field blend made from equal amounts of Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Frappato Nero, and Nerello Cappucio. Aromas and flavors of cherry, blackberry, and licorice with a smoky tobacco note. Still very young, give this one some time to open via decanting or put some aside for drinking 2009-2011. Excellent pizza and pasta wine, with enough cherry fruit to make it good as a sipper, too.
