Food Pairings for Diemersfontein Pinotage Wellington
unforgettable pinotage. Dark, dark garnet verging on black. Espresso coffee aromas, with a touch of unsweetened chocolate. Bittersweet chocolate, mocha, and a slight taste of black fruits. Long, coffee and chocolate finish with a hint of flowers. Coffee notes soften, as do chocolate notes, and flowers are more pronounced as this wine sits in the glass. I'd decant this wine, or let it sit for a while. Lots of wine here for the price. Not a small wine, at 14% alch/vol but this is a wine to be sipped, allowed to open up, and enjoyed.
