Didier Dagueneau Pouilly Fume "Silex" Loire Valley 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

The late Didier Dagueneau created an icon when he released his first 'Silex' in 1985, a name which refers to the smoky, flinty mineral that characterizes this appellation. This boasts a dizzying array of aromas: tangerine, grapefruit, fresh cut grass, and mineral. This has bright acidity, is broad-shouldered for a white, with still more flavors of gooseberry, meyer lemon, and a bit of lychee syrup. Dazzling stuff, as good as Sauvignon gets. Biodynamic too.
