Add your reviewI'm always in search of a good domestic cab. I felt this was above average. It was bold but smooth. Good with cheese and dinner. give it a try.
Strong alcohol scent, somewhat tart to start (although it mellows after aeration). Dry yet fruity, smooth but firm tannins, easy to drink. I'm not usually a huge fan of cabernet but I love this!

Francis Ford Coppola calls this wine his "prize offering." It's a classic Bordeaux blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are sourced from Napa, Sonoma, El Dorado and the Coppola Estate. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months. From the superb 2007 vintage, it shows rich fruit and a balanced structure, but the real beauty of this wine is the affordable price. For under $20 this Coppola Diamond Collection Claret is a true gem.

The small amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot we add help to strengthen color, weight, and structure. Our Claret is always elegant, but this year it's a true show stopper; lush with a beautiful tapestry of smooth tannins, intense flavor, and seductive aromas. When paired with classic dishes such as beef stroganoff, leg of lamb or potato gratin, you can create a sublime dining experience.
