[Astis] Simplistic. Concentrated dark fruit initally, then develop a fresh strawberry. Min tannins. A solid wine by the glass to accompany red sauce. Would not invest in a bottle even at $10. Drink now.

Great QPR on this sangiovese. Much better with a little more bottle age (the one I had in December was not this appealing), and give it some time to open in the glass. Reveals strawberry and hints of orange peel with a nice vanilla touch on the aroma. On the palate more strawberry and vanillin oak. Good finish. Altogether an excellent value. Looking forward to the 04 now.
