This 100% Sangiovese from the obscure province of Molise is a fine exemplar of good quality and reasonable price for every day drinking by all but the most destitute. Sweet cherry licorice whip on the nose with hints of blueberry are followed by a smooth entry of tree bark (oak, no doubt) and Kirsch-like cherry. Great value. 85 points.

Di Majo Norante has made this lovely 2011 "Degli Osci"--a rich and refreshing red wine with lots of fruit and hints of earthiness. "The Sangiovese Terre degli Osci is an incredibly delicious, full-bodied wine with gorgeous clarity and definition.
