This cru is made mainly from a selection of the best Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes grown in the Ramitello vineyard of Campomarino. Full, mellow and velvety wine; with a perfect blend of flavors such as plum, undergrowth and hints of leather and liquorice, deep ruby red in color with violet reflections. Ideal with rich dishes, especially white and red meats, game and ripe cheeses.<br/><br/>80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico

This wine is full bodied, soft and velvety with an aftertaste of plum and licorice and he aromas of blackberry and egriot cherry. The color is intense ruby red with violet reflections.
A rich yet juicy red, balancing ripe dark cherry and fleshy plum fruit with layers of spice, underbrush and mocha. Compact, with an herb-tinged finish. Montepulciano and Aglianico. Drink now.
The 2009 Ramitello is a blend of 80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico that sees 18 months in French oak. Layers of smoke, grilled herbs, menthol and minerals are overlayed on a core of black fruit. The Ramitello shows serious power and intensity all the way through to the palate staining finish. Floral notes add lift and freshness on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2015–2025.
