This is one of my favorites. I love the raspberry flavor, and it has just the right amount of sweetness!
This was served at our family Christmas and it was a hit. The hint of sweetness in this sparkling wine was great.
A fun, festive treat: especially if you enjoy Kir Royale. Not too sweet, nice dry finish.
Food Pairings for Dh Lescombes Imperial Kir
The grapes for our sparkling wines are picked early on, at 19/20 brix, to keep them naturally lower in sugar and more crisp with a higher acid level. Imperial Kir is based on the ‘Kir Imperiale’, a drink first made popular in the late 1800’s, and still enjoyed today. Our crisp, dry sparkling wine gets a touch of natural raspberry that adds a semi-sweetness to the wine. The color is light, almost translucent, with a hint of pink. The taste is yeasty, crisp and mildly acidic, with the flavor of juicy ripe raspberries and a hint of melon.
