Winemaker Stuart Pym's notes (slightly modified): "Bright ruby red with purple hues; aromas of red berries, cherries, plums with underlying cassis notes combine with lovely lifted shiraz spice and subtle oak; a complex and inviting bouquet. The palate is classically 'Fifth Leg': bright inviting fruit flavours and a full mid-palate are finished by subtle but perceptible tannins; a wine of great balance and harmony that is eminently drinkable now (April, 2005) but will comfortably hang out in the cellar for 5 years (the 98 looks great right now)." 14% alc.
