What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Winemaker’s tasting notes: "Pale straw with lime green hues; a complex amalgam of roasted cashews, pear essence and pink grapefruit; subtle notes of lanolin and minerals add further complexity; oak influence is subtle; a brightly fruity, yet concentrated and complex wine; concentrated grapefruit and pear flavours on the front palate, with a long citrus finish; tight and focussed, showing a superb mineral acidity on the finish; has great length and persistence, but is still years from showing its potential volume and breadth of flavours".
