Since this house was acquired by Louis Roederer, their Champagnes have gained in quality and should be sought out by Champagne lovers. The Brut "Classic" is a wonderful value made from roughly equal proportions of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. It is a blend of multiple vintages aged for 3 years before being disgorged. A Champagne offering elegance, subtlety and an expressive finish.

This wine’s concentrated flavors focus on mineral richness rather than freshness, lemon pith rather than zest. Its green apple and pear fruit blends into the chalkiness, all of a piece. For wood roasted oysters.

30% chardonnay, 32% pinot meunier, 38% pinot noir. A complex and balanced mélange of granny smith apple, burnt caramel and spiced pear forms the bouquet. Moderately intense flavors of crisp pear with subtle, sweet spice are fresh and vibrant. The fin... Chuck Hayward. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Deutz Brut Classic 750ml

Floral, apple and yeast notes are lively and fresh in this elegant Champagne, which is backed by a vibrant structure. Makes a lovely aperitif. Drink now.

Aromas of apple, butter, toast and spices. Juicy and intensely flavored if slightly lean, with apple and lemon peel flavors straight to the finish. Shows a bit of unabsorbed acidity and a note of green cardamom on the end.

Winemaker's Notes:

The distinctive house style of elegance and finesse which has made Champagne Deutz one of the most respected of all Champagne houses is reflected in this fine non-vintage Champagne. Matured according to traditional methods from a blend of several vintages from twenty of the best crus of Champagne it reaches a perfect balance of flavor. `...great flavors of grapefruit some lemon peel and a vibrant white fruit character. It is dry with the clean fresh acidity going right through to the finish.`92-Wine Enthusiast
