External Reviews for Delatour Malbec Vin de Pays d'Oc Cuvée Premier
Starts off with a punch of dark cherry fruit and follows through with plums tobacco coffee and charred oak. Wine is often subject to your mood so when it’s time for a “chunk-of-flavor” and a bold pronounced mouth feel that is perfect with red meats and pasta dishes then it’s time for this VALUE PLUS wine.
An elegant bouquet revealing fresh red raspberries. Ripe strawberries lead the way in the mouth with soft and silky tannins. A very pleasant finish with good balance. Match it up with pan seared tuna steaks, chicken-on-the-bone in a light brown gravy, pork loins and braised short ribs.
Everybody knows that the best inexpensive pinots are French; just have a look at the Delatour! Light-bodied, with bright red fruit (cherry and strawberry) and tart cranberry flavors on the nose and palate. An easy drinker, and a great alternative for fans of the Luc Pirlet, Red Bicyclette or Hob Nob. Excellent value!
An incredible value sourced from the Vin de Pays, this Pinot Noir is rich with creamy black cherry, blackberry and forest floor notes. The finish is exceptionally smooth, which lends itself to enjoyment on its own or with food.
