This was a good value considering the low price. Well balanced and not overpowering, dark color but fairly light body. Overall a good wine at an extremely good price.
Fresh and smooth with a soft, light comfortable aftertaste. Full disclosure: my first experience of this delightful wine was at the base of Mt Ventoux after having climbed it on my bicycle during the '09 L'Etape du Tour!
Nice wine with a closed nose.

This is a fresh, youthful wine that allows its fruit flavors of plums and black cherries to take center stage, as the juice never sees any wood. Coming from the base of Mount Ventoux, east of the Rhône River, it is 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Drink this with a slight chill to experience a perfectly approachable and delicious wine.
This is a charming, soft, fragrant Rhone red at a very gentle price from Delas Freres who make award winning Hermitage and Cote Rotie selling for as much as $125 per bottle. Chill slightly like a Beaujo-lais and serve with roast chicken and white meats.
The compelling 2006 Cote Rotie La Landonne is sensational. The luxury cuvee (3,000 bottles produced) of 2006 St.-Joseph Ste.-Epine represents St.-Joseph at its finest. Aromas of acacia flowers, crushed rocks, and intense blackberry and cassis fruit are followed by a full-bodied, smoky, rich wine revealing hi... Robert Parker. Deep garnet color, with a nose that has strong aromas of cassis, plums and a touch of violets. The tannic structure is ample and well rounded, which assures good aging potential. Great with game as well as grilled and rich foods.
