.Floral, honey, almond and lemon on the nose with a touch of peach and raspberry. Mousse is a bit rough but the wine has lovely creamy notes across the palate with bright strawberry tops, golden raspberry and apple fruit. The finish is minerally and reveals a touch of toast and caramel. 89pts

A hint of yeasty bread dough accents flavors of pippin apple, smoke, Meyer lemon and stony mineral. Firm and focused, with a raw almond note on the moderate finish. (50% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir and 20% pinot meunier): Pale yellow. A highly aromatic nose displays orange zest, chamomile, anise and dusty herbs. Here is a Pinot-dominated blend (50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier) which offers elegant, textural and expansive flavors. Multidimensional and poised, it pushes the Pinot to the fore, which brings extra fruit intensity and hints of fresh red berries. The finish is crisp and lingering.

An attractively complex nose offers up yeast, apple, spiced pear and soft floral scents. There is equally good complexity on the moderately effervescent flavors that possess good character and persistence. This delicious effort is not particularly re... Burghound. Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes :100% of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that go into the non-vintage Brut come from Grand Cru vineyards. The small percentage of Pinot Meunier that is blended in is from Vallee de la Marne. Delamotte's grapes are harvested and sorted by hand by people who have been working with the company for years. In order to produce the highest-quality must, Delamotte presses their grapes using the Wilmes compressed air system. Unlike Salon, malolactic fermentation does occur with Delamotte wines. Varitel Compositino: 50% Chardonnay, 35% - 40% Pinot Noir, 10% - 15% Pinot Meunier. Ageing: Minimum of three years on the lees (legal minimum for Brut Champagne is only 15 months).
