Decoy Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2009
First off a disclaimer, I like @duckhornwine. Now that there is a full like of Decoy wines I had to try some. The Sauvignon Blanc uses a good percentage of Semillon which I like. The wine is fresh and vibrant on the nose. There is a lot of citrus in the taste and lots of acid that is balanced by semillon. Great value from a great producer.
Very nice floral and peach tones. Crisp attack. Rounded mid palate. Very nice.
tropical fruit nose...very crisp..nice acidity.
Well balanced. Has a nice finish.

Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. A little bit of melon is mixed with equally quiet but intriguing bits of spice and minerals in this smaller but nicely balanced offering, and its firm finish hinting of herbs and green pears does a good job of keeping it on the varietal track. It is tight enough to reward a year or two of bottle aging, but there is nothing about this one that demands such forbearance.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

Crisp and refreshing, offering a well-balanced blend of mouthwatering, citrusy lemon-lime flavors, with touches of flowers and freshly cut grass, followed by a honeydew melon note on the finish.
