De Loach 'Russian River' Pinot Noir 2009
This Pinot Noir is light ruby in color, with aromas of strawberry jam and a touch of mint, almost “Beaujolais” in style. To the taste, Queen Anne cherries, pomegranate, and cranberry are the primary flavors, with a hint of tobacco to round out the palate. The wine is light in body, with a medium finish, and pairs well with lighter entrees, including grilled sea bass or chicken Caesar salad.

Burgundian winemaking heritage meets Sonoma County's Russian River terroir in DeLoach Vineyards' award-winning wines. As a family-owned winery widely considered a pioneer of Russian River Valley winemaking and a leader in Pinot Noir, we take great pride in producing distinctive wines that highlight the unique nuances of our appellation, while at the same time nourishing the land with eco-friendly viticulture and minimally intrusive winemaking. True to our roots, we handcrafted this wine using traditional Burgundian techniques including fermentation in wooden open-top vats, hand punch downs, basket pressing, and 8 months of oak barrel aging. The delicate balance of fruit and spice with medium-fine-grained tannins makes this a deliciously elegant wine.
Luscious, fruit-forward Pinot Noir boasts an enticing deep ruby color and concentrated aromas of ripe raspberry, leather, and dried lavender. Mouthwatering flavors of juicy strawberry shortcake are balanced by notes of herbs de Provence and bay leaf, offering a round, structured mouthfeel and a lingering finish of fine-grained tannins.
