User Reviews for De Loach Pinot Noir Green Valley

Winemaker's Notes:

The first wine bottled and sold direct from De Loach was the 1975 Zinfandel from the Barbieri Ranch. The winery and vineyards were originally owned and run by the De Loach family, with Cecil De Loach as winemaker. In 2003, the family-run BurgundianJ-C Boisset bought De Loach and has since returned the estate to its original high quality winemaking philosophy. The focus is now firmly on small-lot winemaking, with particular emphasis on Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. This quintessential Green Valley Pinot Noir boasts dark ruby red hues that open to a bright fruit nose with earthy aromas and a touch of spice followed by flavours of pomegranate, cherries, raspberry, leather, and crushed rose petals. These are all reflected on the palate and develop as the wine is left to develop in the glass. A well structured wine, it is ready to drink now and will age beautifully for up to 10 years.
