Member Review by Dennis Lim:

nose of lemons and pineapples, with herby grassy notes on palate. very much like a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

de Ladoucette:
The Comte Lafond bought the Chateau de Nozet estate in 1787 from the illegitimate daughter of King Louis XV  and it has been owned and run by his descendant Baron Patrick de Ladoucette since 1972. He also owns other Loire and Chablis wine estates. It consists of 65 acres and uses both estate and purchased grapes to make Pouilly Fume de Ladoucette wine.

this is a very good example of what a Sauvignon Blanc should taste, different from the regular market, yellow with medium intensity, with a little more than a medium body, the wine is sound, on the nose has elder flowers, green apple, orange peel, some acacia, grape fruit and has that minerality that characterizes the wines from Pouilly-Fume, great wine with a long finish with the citrus lingering on the tongue. very balanced overall.

Enjoying this wine right now. The 2009, 1.5.lt bottle was a present for Christmas. This wine is exceptionally fine.

A beautiful wine well made as it shows good minerality and richness though I suspect the sugar is creeping into higher territory.

Very complex. Floral smell with approvals of elder, citrus fruits and grasses. The soft, round acid gives the wine the stimulating freshness which fascinates at the palate.

This prestige cuvee is considered a Loire Valley legend. Its rich texture and perfect blend of fruit and elegance make this one of France's most sought-after white wines. No oak involved! Pure Sauvignon Blanc which can only be compared in finesse and texture to a world class White Burgundy at twice the price. A very full, pretty nose and a silkiness on the palate that must be experienced to be believed.

Wine Spectator ReviewRated 92Subtle but very complex, with notes of lanolin, lemon curd, white asparagus, thyme and mineral. The long, stony finish is creamy in texture, but also racy and fresh. Really lingers nicely. Drink now.
