The Comte Lafond bought the Chateau de Nozet estate in 1787 from the illegitimate daughter of King Louis XV and it has been owned and run by his descendant Baron Patrick de Ladoucette since 1972. He also owns other Loire and Chablis wine estates. It consists of 65 acres and uses both estate and purchased grapes to make Pouilly Fume de Ladoucette wine.
this is a very good example of what a Sauvignon Blanc should taste, different from the regular market, yellow with medium intensity, with a little more than a medium body, the wine is sound, on the nose has elder flowers, green apple, orange peel, some acacia, grape fruit and has that minerality that characterizes the wines from Pouilly-Fume, great wine with a long finish with the citrus lingering on the tongue. very balanced overall.
