This is a little tight on the nose with clean, focused oak aromas balanced by cut plum and black cherry fruit. There's a lot of wine here, though it's not at all heavy. Gentle mocha shadings greet the palate with a nicely integrated structural elements supporting the black cherry and lightly plummy fruit on the palate. There are some strawberry yogurt notes on the back end along with some peppery wood spice that draws out the strawberry candy and black cherry-toned finish. Not rustic but perhaps a bit of a throw back style. Has its appeal, though. 89pts

Dark garnet in color with aromas of black cherry, earth, sage and fennel. Tight raspberry fruit flavors with nutmeg and a mineral note finishing with moderate tannins. Needs a bit more time in the cellar to come around or 2 hours in a decanter.

Came across this for the first time at Bistro by the Tracks in Knoxville, TN (great wine selection!). We were smitten! Bought 6 bottles from MadWine in WA. We shared it with guests this weekend and they too were smitten! I don't regard myself as an expert, but I think this wine just works.

The color and flavor are both dark and rich. Fruits on the palate are strawberries and cherries, but both are dark, very ripe, even a little bruised. Wood provides a sweet background of vanilla and almond. Tannins are sweet and old, acids mild to match.

A delicious Pinot Noir to drink now. Soft and savory, it shows appealing raspberry, cherry and spice flavors, accented with the vanilla and toast of oak. Defines Russian River Pinot Noir in its easiest form.

The 2010 Pinot Noir is full of Russian River exuberance. Juicy dark cherries, cola, flowers and new leather burst from the glass as this racy, polished Pinot shows off its undeniably appealing, sexy personality. Medium in body, the 2010 possesses gorgeous mid-palate pliancy and a generous finish laced with sweet floral and spice notes. Anticipated maturity: 2013–2016.

Davis Bynum pinot noir is driven by vineyard sites. True to long-established form, it remains a very food friendly wine, with bright fruit aromas and flavors, a silky texture and a very long finish. Our Russian River Valley blend takes a series of exceptional vineyards and combines them to create a classic wine that captures all the regional traits.

90 Points - Wine Spectator"Rich and full-bodied, with a pleasurable mix of black cherry, wild berry and mocha flavors that are intense, concentrated, focused and persistent, ending with a long finish. Drink now through 2015. 6,500 cases made." -James Laube
