Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

(Review of Dec. 2006.) I'm ashamed to say this is the first bottle I've tried of David Coffaro Zinfandel. It is outstanding, reminding me of some of the best Ridge Lytton Springs Zins from the past - but at a cost at least $10 lower than those wines. Classic briary, fruit-laden Zinfandel nose, tremendous richess and balance in the flavors. Mouth-coating layers of deep plum and spicy berry fruit. Altogether excellent wine! I look forward to trying some more of this winery's production.
