David Bruce Pinot Noir Anderson Valley 2007
Aromas of sage and a touch of wildflowers, and I would start to think this would be a very flowery Pinot until the first sip where a nice palette of raspberry and dark cherry gave me a pleasant surprise. There is some bright fruit in this glass with a good bit of acidity all leading to a pleasant strawberry finish.

Tasting Notes - This vintage is a selection of superb Pinot Noir grapes from the Sonoma Coast. The region combines cool ocean climate and sufficient rainfall to promote natural sugar development and flavorful grape acidity. This wine has an expression of red cherry, cranberry and plum coupled with lingering notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and a subtle hint of clove. On the palate, red cherry and plum dominate, with hints of vanilla, citrus, toasted pine nuts. Fine tannin structure and a long finish.
