Young and rambunctious, intense and concentrated, with a mix of wild berry, currant, smoke, roasted meat, charred oak and ripe currant fruit, supported by firm tannins. Finishes with lead pencil and fresh earth nuances. Needs time... Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2000 David Arthur Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147 1500ml

Winemaker's Notes:

Composition A blend that changes slightly with each vintage: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petite Verdot, 3% Merlot Vineyards Planted in 1978, the David Arthur Estate Vineyards are located on the top of Pritchard Hill, overlooking the Napa Valley. Pritchard Hill sits at the North East end of the Napa Valley and is part of the Vaca Mountain Range; the soils here are orange-red and extremely rocky. Fermentation and Aging Wine varietals are soaked and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks for six weeks. Transferred to 60 gallon French Oak barrels, and aged for 21 months.
