Dashwood is a brand of wines produced by Vavasour in the Awatere Valley in New Zealand. These wines use fruit sourced from the Awatere as well as Wairau Valley, which gives them a balance of ripened, fruit-forward flavors and minerality. These are everyday drinking wines meant to be consumed young upon release.
Clean, prounced gooseberry aromas. High acid and intense fruit flavours with good length. A well made wine. Available from Oddbins (£8.99).
I like the dry and oaky flavor. It's been open several days and i'm still liking it. Nice medium strength for a Sauv Blanc, pretty thick legs, too.
