Danzante is a collection of contemporary Italian wines intended for the enjoyment of "la dolce vita". They express both passion and style which are essential to the Italian lifestyle. The name Danzante, Italian for dancing, captures what you will experience with these wines: a feeling of enjoyment, celebration and most of all, being in touch with your senses. The Danzante wines can be enjoyed by wine drinkers of all levels. With elegant aromas and rich fruit flavours, they offer a variety of styles, typically Italian, that complement almost any occasion Danzante's wines are produced in some of the most renowned Italian regions, each wine reflecting the unique characteristic of that region. Danzante Pinot Grigio is sourced from vines in the Trentino Alto Adige, the Veneto and the Friuli Venezia Giulia, the three north eastern regions of Italy, collectively known as the "Tre Venezie". With stony, deep soil, relatively high altitude and cool summers, the "Tre Venezie" allows Pinot Grigio to fully express its potential. Vintage: 2009 Grapes: 100% Pinot Grigio Soil: Deep, stony, alluvional terrains Exposure: South, Southwest Pruning: Cordon-trained spur-pruned and pergola Trentina Age of vines: 23 years Density: Between 3,000 and 4,000 vines/hectare Yield: 74HL/Hectare Winemaking: The grapes were hand selected and harvested in September.: Soft pressing of the grapes then took place.. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at below 20C lasting 15 days. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation. The wine was left to rest in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of 4 months prior to being bottled. Serve: Chilled as an aperitif or to accompany fish soups, grilled fish, seafood, dishes based on mushrooms and oriental food. Taste: A crisp lemon blossom bouquet leads into vibrant flavours of citrus, melon and peach. A wine to be enjoyed young.
Very crisp with just enough grape to leave you satisfied, but not overwhelmed with competing flavors. At this price you can feel quite content stocking a few bottles for those unexpected visitors or to simply open for that weeknight dinner.
"The Danzante Pinot Grigio boasts an intensive straw yellow. The bouquet offers rich aromas of tropical fruit such as passion fruit
Frescobaldirsquo;s Pinot Grigio proves to be a well-constructed and composed wine with green fruit like kiwi and honeydew backed by a pine resin, cut-grass quality. Silky smooth in the mouth.
Crisp, clean, light and dry are a few characteristics that describe this wine. It is also filled with flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, light spice and zesty citrus. Perfect for white sauces atop seafood and chicken.
Winemaker's Notes:
"Bright and attractive, with enticing fruit perfumes of flowers and fresh fruit, Danzante Pinot Grigio is produced from vineyards in the steep, stony terrains of the"Tre Venezie" region of NE Italy. The wine’s silky texture culminates in a clean, dry and impeccably elegant finish." - Winery
Tasting Notes:
A luminous straw yellow with generous gold highlights announces Danzante Pinot Grigio 2009, followed by an explosion of aromatic impressions that include tropical fruit, such as banana, pineapple, and papaya, as well as spicy notes of cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is bold and self-confident, with a smooth mouthfeel and appealing warmth. A crisp vein of tasty acidity adds to the fine balance of all of its components. A very leisurely finish ends on a subtle note of crisp fruit.
