What to Expect

Pinot Grigio is one of the world's most popular wines. Also known under the French moniker "Pinot Gris", and even the German "Ruländer" among others, Pinot Grigio is a chameleon of a grape. It is produced in a range of styles, from the light fruity Italian style that has gained popularity, to a more mineral, flinty rich wine favored by the French - particularly in Alsace - and emulated by many in the new world.

Firm, quite fruity, plump and pleasing, with a hint of sweetness.

Tasting Notes - Danzante Pinot Grigio is a dry, white wine with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense with enticing fragrances of fresh citrus fruit and flowers. On the palate, its silky, well-balanced body is enhanced with hints of pineapple, grapefruit and spices that carry through to a crisp, dry finish. Enjoy it by itself as an apperitivo or with fish, seafood or poultry.

I really enjoyed this Italian Pinot Grigio from the Tre Venezie area of Italy. I like it better than a lot of the more expensive Pinot Grigios. It has a rich nose of tropical fruit. Nice rich mouthfeel. The wine is well balanced and has crisp acidity. Pleasant finish. Very solid wine for the price.
