Tasting Notes:
The 2009 Danzante Merlot appears a rich ruby red, with subtle purplish highlights. The nose initially reveals emphatic notes of wild red berryfruit, such as wild cherry and blueberry, which expand into a spacious background marked by pungent black pepper, semi-sweet chocolate, and black liquorice. The palate shows pleasing warmth and a smooth mouthfeel, its crisp fruit beautifully complemented by a suite of dense-packed, silky tannins. An almost endless finish provides the wine's impressive conclusion.
