Benjamin Dagueneau has now taken the over the reigns and has continued the tradition of creating breathtaking wines. The Mont Damnés is sleek with a stony raciness and incredible length.

This is a barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc is the first vintage that son, Benjamin has released. The Pur Sang shines of brilliance, concentration and expression despite the tough weather conditions of this vintage.

Buisson Renard is a single vineyard of Sauvignon Blanc. The actual name of the vineyard is "Buisson Menard". The change was adopted after erroneously printing a label with the Renard name. Turns out, Didier Dagueneau preferred it and the name remains to this day.

From the last vintage of winemaking genius, Didier Dagueneau, comes this stunningly creamy, age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc. Full of flinty mineral, voluptuous texture, and nervy acidity.

The "Silex" is perhaps Dagueneau's most prized wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc grown on silex soil. The wine is beautiful pure, earthy, round, and age-worthy. Last year Didier died in a plane crash. This is the last vintage he worked on.

The wines of Dider Dagueneau are unrivalled in the world of Sauvignon Blanc. Sadly, this is Didier's last vintage. Due to his choice to age in old oak, Dagueneau's wines take on a creaminess as well as an ability to age that is unusual for the region. The "Pur Sang" is as beautiful as the "Silex" but with less emphasis on smoky minerality.

Although this is considered Didier Dagueneau's "basic" Sauvignon blanc, there's nothing at all basic about it. The winemaking goes above and beyond what most try to achieve in a Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
