D. Pedro D Soutomaior Albariño Rias Baixas 2016

Winemaker's Notes:

Bright and vivid straw-yellow green color with a touch of ripe lemon. On the nose, intense and elegant aromas with hints of fresh aromatic herbs and white flowers, as well as nuances of white stone fruits such as green apples, citric fruits and pears. The palate is persistent, rounded and full-bodied with a light petillance that adds to its vivacious sense of freshness, with a long-lasting finish.

Adegas Galegas began its activity in 1995 with the acquisition of “Viñedos de Goián” and “Condasat” and has been revitalizing this magnificent area of the Rias Baixas since then. A relationship policy began with the aim of recovering and strengthening the native varieties using an innovative philosophy which includes content and form. This is how Galiciano was born, on behalf of one of the most traditional wine areas of Galicia; Valdeorras in the region of Orense. There next follows the Bierzo and a firm commitment to the future of its singular varieties, to which is added the wines from Montsant in the Catalan Priorat and culminates with the incorporation of wines from Castile, Leon and Zamora, and Dehesa de Rubiales. An extraordinary spectrum of wine cultures articulated around a common feeling of excitement and respect for an age-old art. Read less

Nicely floral aromas are a bit vanishing with some woody, mineral lemon notes and faint peach notes. Soft and plush palate of zesty lemon, fresh ocean air but with a buttery texture on the palate that cuts through to the finish where lime and apricot notes play against more salinity and a crisp finish.
