Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

[I had the 2005.] One of my consistent favorites, good balance of tartness and spice, worth the higher price compared to the sugary low-end Australian Shiraz out there. Having tried also the d'Arry's Original and Love Grass (which I prefer to this), I always look for the diagonal line in this section of the wine store.

Winemaker's Notes:

Bright violet. Dried cherry, blackberry, smoked meat and violet on the nose. Pungent, palate-staining dark berry flavors show a wild, musky quality and pick up spiciness with air. Repeats the smoky note on a firm and nicely persistent finish.- Stephen Tanzer
