Cycles Gladiator Syrah /750m Cycles Gladiator 2007
Wine Tasting Notes An intriguing combination of raspberry and plum aromas framed by fresh cracked pepper and pretty oak notes. The mouth is decidedly rich and spicy with big red fruit flavors layered over spice, tobacco, and blueberry. The mouthfeel is full bodied with soft tannins that melt into a medium thread of acidity. The gamey components of this wine make it a perfect match for duck and other wild fowl, lamb in a red wine reduction, or ribs and BBQ sauce.
Cycles Gladiator symbolizes a celebration of the freedom and happiness that pervaded Europe in the late 19th century—an era known as the Belle Epoque. This era marked many notable inventions and improvements to daily life, not the least of which was the modern bicycle or Le Bicycle Velocipede.
A nice mid to moderately spicy syrah with ripe black cherries and perfect balance. A really super value.
Great value for the price, drinkable. Nice with food and very balanced. Though not particularly complex, notes of cherry, blueberry. Light tannins. Perfect if you don't want to break the bank but still want something juicy.
This is a great table wine, very full flavour that mellows out just the right amount over a few hours. Great value for your money.
This is such great value... amazing
Really lovely at a great price.
Great wine for the price. One of the few Syrah's I drink on a regular basis.
Three and a half glasses
