User Reviews for Cybele St. Helena Mountains Cabernet Blend

Winemaker's Notes:

Rich aroma of black cherries fill the glass. This meritage drinks like a fist full of delicious grapes. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes to the dark inky color and the wonderfully balanced yet prominent tannins. The Merlot grown on the steep hillsides gives it ample perfume and silky plum flavors along with ripe red cherry fruit. This is a serious wine for the price one that will stand on its own next to wines three times its price. Cybele (pronouced sey bey lay) is made in the foothills of the St Helena mountains. The soil is volcanic in nature. The long ago movements of the tectonic plates are responsible for pushing the igneous rock to the surface producing wonderful minerality and complexity in the fruit. Enjoy!
