It's an excellent pairing for a rich fish such as a lightly grilled King Salmon, not too buttery or oaky. Crisp citrus without being too fruity. Initial bouquet that is evocative of the hot stones on the hillsides above San Tropez and a length of finish that is light and tantalizing and elegant.

Smooth, ripe, rich and complex with layers of ripe pear, apple, spice, fig and melon. Elegant and refined on the finish.
The aroma cries out: oaky Chardonnay; and it is full of smoke, char and buttered toast. Underneath is finely crafted fruit: citrus, peach and green apple; pure and sweet. An angular wine that's pinpointed and firm. Finishes dry and spicy.
Always a nice, rich Chard with oaky nuances but not too much. This year the wine is especially full bodied, packed with fruity flavors and a spicy cinnamon-and-pepper aftertaste. Cuvaison has held its prices down; this wine is actually a value in its class.
Displaying good intensity, this is ripe and spicy, with green apple, mineral and subtle herb notes that end with a cleansing aftertaste. Drink now through 2013.
Smooth, ripe and polished, with spicy pear flavors, hints of vanilla and nutmeg and a clean, fresh finish. Drink now.

Wine Tasting Notes Cuvaisons Carneros Chardonnay comes from our 400-acre estate in the southern part of Napa Valley. This cool climate vineyard allows us nearly perfect conditions year after year to produce world class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Controlling all farming aspects within our own vineyard gives Cuvaison an advantage in producing the best quality fruit therefore minimizing over manipulation at the winery. Winemaker Steven Rogstad sums it up best, My style and philosophy are based on expressing the unique character of our estate grapes and doing as little as possible to them. When one has such wonderful fruit to work with, that should be ones emphasis.
