Cusumano Nero'Davola 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

It is on the easy drinking side of the Nero d'Avola spectrum. Fruit driven with a little creaminess and light spice on the finish. Unmistakable combination of black cherry and strawberry, with juniper berries on the nose.

Much drier and more tannic than what I usually expect from a Nero d'Avola. High acidity as well. Paired well with red meat but I wasn't loving it by itself. Would be nice with pasta as well.

Great value. Glass cork is a nice touch.

Syrah-like, with layers of plum, spice and violet flavors framed by a fine layer of tannins, followed by a focused, tar-tinged finish. Drink now.

There's some Southern Italian charm to this wine's blackberry liqueur flavors and scents of cranberries and leather. It's a balanced and appealing red for braised lamb. Vin Divino, Chicago, IL (Best Buy)

A simple Nero, with blackberry jam and light mineral character on a medium body. Drink now.

Bright raspberry and plum aromas follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with light tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now. 20,000 cases made.

Raspberry, cherry and red berries with a spicy finish. Fresh and lively with medium tannins.

In der Nase Aromen nach Wacholder-Beeren und Eingemachtem, harmonischer, eleganter und schön abgerundeter Körper, unaufdringlich und charaktervoll.
