User Reviews for Cupcake Vineyards Zinfandel

Winemaker's Notes:

Cupcake Vineyards Lodi Zinfandel comes from head-trained vines grown in rich sandy loam soils. Head training is the ideal trellis for Zinfandel as it produces lower quantities of grapes with more intensity and higher sugar content. Warm days with cool afternoon breezes produce tiny fruit with intense jammy flavors and hints of spice and black pepper. All the clusters are gently harvested by hand to protect the berries.

Tasting Notes:

Our Zinfandel is handcrafted with premium grapes from Lodi, California, one of the most well-known Zinfandel growing regions in the world. This fruity wine is filled with decadent flavors of blueberries, spice and ripe raspberry jam with a long finish that delights the plate. It’s reminiscent of a black forest cupcake with raspberry filling. Enjoy with sautéed Portabella mushrooms or a tasty beef barbecue.
