Cupcake Vineyards Pinot Noir Central Coast 2011
The pinot noir grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and then cold soaked for a couple of days. After yeast inoculation, the juice went through a cool fermentation to preserve the bright cherry fruit. The wine was then aged in American and French oak barrels for about nine months.
Very affordable for the quality this pinot noir is bright red with a light and balanced body. It opens with a complex mix of strawberries and raspberries that creates a pleasing aroma. The taste includes a flavor profile of mild rasberry, plum and dark chocolate with a finish that is dry and very light on tannins.
cherry nose...medium bodied...nice finish
Awful!!!! Total waste of money.
Four and a half glasses
Liked it! Fruity & medium bodied, low tannins
This one is kinda dry...

Our Pinot Noir has the aroma of cherries that carries through the palate with a touch of red currants and a hint of spice. It’s reminiscent of a cherry cupcake with currant coulis.
