Although a bit thin on the palate, pleasant, clean, bright flavors of cherry and Pinot Noir. This wine however is too sweet for me and will probably avoid it for that reason alone.

Winemaker's Notes:

This Pinot Noir was harvested at 24 to 26º brix and then cold soaked for two days at 50ºF. After yeast inoculation, it went through a cool fermentation to preserve the bright cherry fruit. The wine was aged in small American and French oak barrels for up to nine months.

Tasting Notes:

Our Cupcake Central Coast Pinot Noir has the aroma of cherries carries through the palate with a touch of red currants and a hint of spices. It’s reminiscent of a cherry cupcake with currant coulis.

This Pinot Noir was harvested at 24 to 26º brix and then cold soaked for two days at 50ºF. After yeast inoculation, it went through a cool fermentation to preserve the bright cherry fruit. The wine was aged in small American and French oak barrels for up to nine months.
