Kind of thin and weak; might just be too young still. Currant/berry scent at first, then turns resinous. Tastes very oaky and vegetal with a hint of dark berry. Tannins are strong, but not too overpowering. Seems like it would pair well with earthy, rich food without competing too much.

(I'm still pretty new at picking out individual tastes in wines, so if any of this seems way off base, I apologize!)

soft tannins, with primary fruit flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and plums. These layers of dark fruits melt with the tastes of mocha and toasty oak and end with a long and silky finish. Serve with baked brie drizzled with honey or petite filet mignon with a cabernet reduction sauce.
