Cupcake Gewurztraminer 2011
Gewürztraminer is delightfully pronounced as guh~VOORTS~truh~MEEnur that literally means perfumed traminer. Grown in Mendocino in a cooler climate vineyard with dry and warm summers, the crew carefully monitored the temperamental vines as it budded early and ripened late in the season. The fragrant grapes were picked to get the perfect balance and to keep the creaminess in the wine. A long, cool fermentation on stainless steel maintained the natural aromas.
