(Review of Cupcake Angel Food) Adam Richardson does it again, complex, slightly sweet in a subtle way, hints of all different kinds of fruit... peach, pineapple, melon, a hint of sauv. blanc in there but mostly chardonnay I'm told, finish tastes like a peach cobbler with whipped cream. There is next to no acidity on the finish which makes this different from most whites I can think of. Very good 88 pts.

Poor effort from Cupcake, wine tastes "off" like it went bad

This looks like a popular wine, judging by the number of reviews. A relative of mine had a case of it. Nice, fresh mix of lemon zesty tartness and sweetness. Good.

Marlborough, New ZealandDon't judge Cupcake Vineyards by the fanciful name alone because this winery is producing some top values in everyday wines across multiple varietals! Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful expression of this grape from the highly regarded Marlborough appellation of New Zealand. This white wine gem is made from 100% Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. At the northeastern tip of the South Island of New Zealand, Marlborough enjoys a temperate climate with high sunshine hours, moderate day temperatures and cool nights. The region is ideally suited to producing aromatic wines showing strong intensity of grape variety. The long cool season allows the grapes to mature slowly, giving them complexity and a vibrant zing reminiscent of a lemon chiffon cupcake!Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow-green in color. It is crisp and light with aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and citrus and boasts rich flavors of Meyer lemons and Key limes. It is crisp and clean on a long finish that awakens the appetite.Enjoy Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc over the next 3-4 years with salmon, oysters, grilled vegetables, halibut, crab, chicken, Asian cuisine, and sushi.

These levels of dark fruits melt with the tastes of cocoa and toasty oak and ends with a long, smooth and silky finish." - WineryFood Pairing RecommendationsServe with venison glazed with a Cabernet Sauvignon sauce or baked brie drizzled with honey.Winemaking NotesThe Cabernet Sauvignon was cool fermented with frequent pump-overs in the early stages of fermentation to extract the soft tannins and color during the aqueous phase. Then the grape skins were pressed before the fermentation reached dryness to maintain the wine's lush tannin structure. The must was kept cool during fermentation to help create a slower fermentation and allowed the wine to retain more aromatic properties as well as ...

Tasting Notes: Cupcake Chardonnay was crafted to emphasize the Central Coast s creamy and structured Chardonnay character. It starts off with a touch of apple, a hint of tropical fruits and is complimented by a balance of vanilla and spice. We used malolactic fermentation with aging in small barrels to provide a rich mid palate that develops into a long, smooth, satisfying finish.

Appropriately named, Cupcake Chardonnay is what one would think of when eating the delectable dessert... butter, vanilla, rich, creamy with a touch of sweetness. This wine comes from sunny California's Central Coast, undergoing malolactic fermentation to round it out and create a smooth mouthfeel. It is aged in American oak for nine months to grant it a little more structure. It goes beautifully with calamari, crab cakes or fried shrimp. Served in most of the local Allentown restaurants by the glass - save your money and get it here!

Supple ripe pear and white peach notes, with subtle spicy nuances, make this a soft, easy-drinking wine. Drink now.
