Cruzeau Pessac-Leognan 2009
A respect for the typicity of our terroir whilst at the same time always searching for a modernity of style. A respect for the past and the accumulated experience of the region but equally the same respect for our current consumers and their expectations in terms of wine style and quality. We firmly believe in developing technological innovations that allow us to move towards the twin goals of quality and price accessibility.
Loamy earth, turned soil, light mushroom gaminess. Slight nail polish on the end of the nose. On the palate, Roasty entry, charred oak flavors with spice and red and black fruit. Strong acid with a mineral edge. Young. Should age nicely. Decant well if drinking now. (15.5/20 pts) France vs. US Blind Tasting 6/15/12
