Croix de Margaux 2005

Decanted for over an hour before tasting. Straightforward dark fruit on the nose with some oak initially. Later, toast emerged in the bouquet. The taste is very fruit-forward and fairly concentrated on the palate. Nice tannins that aren't too overpowering despite the relative youth of this wine. I suspect this wine will develop more complexity with further time spent in the bottle.

They have recently bought property in the Loire valley. However,they are also one of the Bordeaux region's largest   negociant houses with an anual turnover of over 140 million euros. They have strong links with London wine merchant Berry Bros and Rudd
