Offers luxurious lychee aromas and mouth-filling citrus flavors with an acidic but not overpowering bite – a fine representation of Argentina’s indigenous white. (AV 87, http://argovino.com/?p=176)

Although fairly new to the Torrontes varietal, I have tasted 20+ of them, and I must say that this is my favorite. If you aren't familiar, Torrontes are like a mix between Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. This has a floral nose, with hints of honey-dew, citrus and a little spice. It has flavors of peach, tangerine and honey that are accompanied with mouth-watering acidity (much like a Sauv Blanc, with Viognier flavors). The finish is refreshing and tangy, should go great fatty fish.

Perfumed aromas of peach nectar and flowers. Juicy, pure and intense, with lovely floral perfume and bright framing acidity. A bit viogner-like in its floral complexity. Finishes juicy and long, and not a bit heavy. This is the #1 torrontes imported from Argentina and virtually never misses.

This zesty white features notes of fennel-accented clementine and peach, as hints of white flower fill the finish. Drink now.

The 2009 Torrontes remains one of Argentinarsquo;s benchmarks for this variety. Sourced from 31-year-old vines in Cafayate (where the finest Torrontes grows), it displays a fragrant bouquet of spring flowers, honey, and tropical aromas. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate, it has ample fruit backed by vibrant acidity leading to a lengthy finish. Drink it over the next 2 years.

Some Mendoza Torrontes in the blend; fragrant, dry, mouth-filling, the prototype Torrontes.

Crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus, spice, and bright fruit. We even noticed a bit of mint creeping in. The body is perfect, not too heavy but not too thin. An exciting wine and an exceptional value.

Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, white pear, flowers, and orange citrus fruit. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and acidity along with enticing fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors.

The 2011 Torrontes offers up enticing aromas of peach, melon, floral, and tropical fruit. Medium-bodied, dry, savory, and nicely proportioned, this lengthy effort will deliver plenty of enjoyment over the next 1andndash;2 years.
